Holy Cross Volleyball Team Swept By Lehigh, 3-0
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Angelika Kopacz recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 13 digs for the Mountain Hawks as the Holy Cross volleyball team fell to Lehigh, 3-0, on Friday evening at Leeman-Turner Arena by scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 25-20, in Patriot League action. With the loss, the Crusaders fall to 10-17 overall (2-6 Patriot League), while the Mountain Hawks improve to 10-10 overall (4-4 Patriot League).
Senior Angela Chisholm (Millis, Mass.) tallied 15 digs, while senior setter Chelsey O'Donnell (Pittsburgh, Pa.) recorded 20 assists. Sophomore Megan Lynch (Mendham, N.J.) led the Crusaders with seven kills, while she also had 12 digs. Freshman Christiana Blakeslee (Ashtabula, Ohio) recorded a season-best eight digs. Chisholm's 361 digs this season are a career best and are fourth all-time at Holy Cross, while Lynch's 357 kills this season are fourth all-time at Holy Cross for a single season. O'Donnell's 870 assists this season are fifth all-time.
Lehigh was also led by Taylor Poole who recorded 10 kills, while Jessica Kudirka tallied 25 assists. Rachel Charles recorded 14 digs.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 23, when they continue Patriot League play at Lafayette at 2:00 p.m.
