The lead continued to grow as the Frogs were firing on all cylinders. Kristen Hester dropped in another ace, while Hudson and Edwards tallied four kills to help the lead grow to seven, 20-13.
TCU had to withstand a furious rally by the Aztecs as they went on a 7-2 run to close within two, 22-20, but a kill from Munce followed by her second ace of the set gave the Frogs set point. Kristen Hester finished off the win with her second kill of the set.
An efficient Horned Frog team took the floor in the second set as they ran away with the 25-11 set two victory. As a team, they pounded out 12 kills and hit at a .385 clip. The Aztecs served up four service errors and had six hitting errors to help the Frog cause.

The most thrilling set of the match was the final set that saw seven ties and five lead changes. San Diego State pushed hard trying to send the match to a fifth set, but the Frogs had an answer.
The Aztecs took what appeared to be a commanding lead at 22-19, but Hudson stepped behind the service line and pulled the Frogs within one, 22-21, as the Frogs took advantage of two Aztec miscues and Hudson dropped in an ace. Two straight kills by the Aztecs gave them set point at 24-21.
Edwards turned the momentum as she blasted a kill to the back court and Otto stepped behind the service line. An attack error made it 24-23 and a block that traveled all the way across the net and landed just inside the boundary line by Edwards and Irene Hester tied the set at 24-all. Another attack error gave the Frogs match point and Edwards finished off the come-from-behind win with her fourth kill of the set, giving the Frogs the 26-24 win.
